BSI Pacific Limited becomes Recognized External Reviewer by HKMA for the Green and Sustainable Finance (GSF) Grant Scheme

BSI Pacific Limited (BSI Pacific), of the UK National Standards Body BSI, has granted as Recognized External Reviewer by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA), under the Green and Sustainable Finance Grant Scheme.
The GSF Grant Scheme will provide subsidy for eligible bond issuers and loan borrowers to cover their expenses on bond issuance and external review services. It was commenced on 10 May 2021 and last for three years. The scheme to support green and sustainable bond issuance and lending will further enrich the green and sustainable finance ecosystem in Hong Kong.

As a Recognized External Reviewer, BSI Pacific Limited will provide pre-issuance external review services and post-issuance verification report related to the green and sustainable bond / loan issuer.

BSI Pacific Ltd. will also provide verification service of ISO 14030:2021 Environmental Performance Evaluation. The report from BSI Pacific Ltd. will state organizations’ green bonds and specify process steps for designating a bond as “green”, including requirements for the identification of appropriate performance indicators.
